The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Walkthrough: Part 2: Inside the Deku Tree and Gohma Boss Battle

Welcome to Lord Fussington’s Walkthrough of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. In today’s video, Part 2: Inside the Deku Tree and Gohma Boss Battle, I, the exquisite Lord Fussington, venture into the evil-infested Great Deku Tree to eradicate the very evil that is infesting the Great Deku Tree – brilliant turn of phrase there.

Anyway, I defeat an array of enemies: Deku Babas, Deku Scrubs, Skulltulas, Skullwalltulas, Gold Skulltulas, Gohma Larvae, and finally, the boss herself, Queen Gohma. We also acquire a variety of items: the Dungeon Map, Compass, Gold Skulltula tokens, Fairy Slingshot, Deku Stick, Deku Seeds, Deku Nuts, Heart Container, and Kokiri’s Emerald. I confuse the Deku Seeds and Nuts by the way; I can only apologize.

Queen Gohma Strategy:

Essentially, fire a Deku Seed from the Fairy Slingshot whenever Gohma’s eye turns red to stun her. When she is stunned, spam Link’s jump attack (target button + action button) for maximum damage.

Note: Deku Nuts can also be thrown at Gohma’s eye to stun her.

After the first stun and subsequent attack, Gohma will retreat to the ceiling to drop eggs – they hatch into larvae and will attack you; when her eye turns red, fire a Deku Seed from the Fairy Slingshot to stun and prevent her from dropping eggs. She will fall to the ground, stunned; spam Link’s jump attack again.

She is a very easy boss; you’ll have no trouble defeating her.
